Mockery Brewing is only the third brewery that I have reviewed for The Denver Hopper but frankly, it kicks the ever-loving shit out of the other two. It’s a rare thing to be excited about anything in life and this little slice of heaven is a good one to get all riled up over. I wish I was there right now, buzzin’, out on that spacious patio, sipping the Peach Blonde like it’s a beautiful woman with wild intelligence. But I can’t do that because they are not open at 6:30 am, and they are probably sleeping or hard at work on their next delicious drink.

This morning feels like I am staring down the barrel of a gun. I’ve been at this juncture before — mumbling to deities and thinking why don’t I work in a place that has the world at its fingertips — somewhere like Mockery Brewing Well, the simple answer is I don’t have the passion for creating brewed adult beverages like the fine folks at Mockery do. I only desire to slowly enjoy them as I sit in the shade and stare out into the Colorado sunshine.

I was at Mockery Brewing last night and I tried many of their hand-sculpted beers. The Salted Scotch Ale is lovely in the most masculine way possible. My chest hair grew an inch after the first sip. The Lemon Pilsner is good for the ladies and anyone else who likes a refreshing beverage. All of their beers are delicious, well-crafted treats. I couldn’t find a stale one in the bunch. They also keep their prices at a reasonable volume. For most pints, the price is $5. And I know I have complained about $6 glasses of beer before, but when you drink as much as I do, that is an area of concern.

After work, I am going back to Mockery and grab another drink, then perhaps, I will stroll down to Great Divide Brewery’s Taproom which is only a half-block away and review that place. They are building a Beer Mecca in River North Neighborhood, so let’s make a Denver Hopper pilgrimage to Mockery Brewing to receive the nectar of the gods after the world finally stops turning for the day and were released from the invisible cages that hold us.
