Hello, Denver Hoppers,
I took some time off for reflection and sunshine and bachelor parties and weddings and booze. It’s a fine place, out there, in the wilderness of Cabo and Las Vegas and Puerto Penasco. The liver now begs for mercy, gorgeous and swollen like a lamb fattened for slaughter. My pride was burned alive by some failures during this time. But my spirit was lifted by other triumphs and experiences. These things happen.
Honestly, though, I didn’t intend for the hiatus. I just ran with it and avoided the work and the delicious breweries out there that deserved a review. I even had reviewed two breweries before I left on a jet plane but never actually put them to print. And then I started jumping off of fishing boats and missing weddings I flew 1500 miles to see. These things also happen. Wild nights stacked up like bodies in The Walking Dead and all the while my friends kept asking me when I was going to post something on The Denver Hopper.
So, here I am, posting something, and getting this Denver Hopper thing back in motion so you know the best places to grab a beer or libation in Denver. I don’t know if you missed The Denver Hopper but I sure as fuck did. This is the shit that makes me happy but yet I avoided it. Maybe that will tell you a little something about me. Anywho, that’s for the therapist and not for a brewery review site.
The Denver Hopper will be back in swing on Tuesday, 9/12/17. I know once this date passes that date won’t matter but fuck it. I will be posting the long overdue Hogshead Brewery and Fiction Beer Company in the coming weeks with a fresh set of eyes and taste buds. Then we will have lots of goodies to come in the weeks to follow like a round house adventure at GABF and many more breweries! Thanks for being patient!
